Asian restaurant and takeaway kitchens throughout Ireland are ramping up efforts in a bid to impress ahead of the return of the Irish Curry Awards and encourage local hospitality brands and companies to get involved by sponsoring the event.
An all-Ireland celebration of the finest Indian and Asian cuisine, the Irish Curry Awards, now in its second year, will return this October to award the island’s boldest and most exceptional eateries.
Recognising outstanding food and service quality in each province – Ulster, Munster, Leinster and Connacht – the awards celebrate Ireland’s Best Restaurant, Best Takeaway, Best Chef, Best Young Chef, Best Newcomer and Best Front of House in Indian and Asian cuisine.
The awards ceremony is currently seeking associate and supporter sponsors to back its efforts in acknowledging the significant impact Indian and Asian restaurants and takeaways have had on the food and drink industry both north and south.
Commenting on the opportunity Irish Curry Awards founder, Askir Ali, said:
“What we have with the Irish Curry Awards really is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to engage and network with a growing community of Asian restaurant owners, managers and exceptionally skilled chefs and front of house staff.
“It’s unlikely that you would venture to any part of this island without encountering a takeaway or restaurant specialising in Indian or Asian cuisine. It’s a vital part of the local economy in communities throughout Ireland, and an important part of Ireland’s food scene.
“The awards are an ideal opportunity for service providers and suppliers to establish effective working relationships with hundreds of Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani and other Asian chefs, restaurant workers and managers.”
