Shoppers and diners across Belfast are in for an unexpected treat this weekend as cast members from Belfast Operatic Company bring a taste of Broadway to the city with two special pop-up performances.
Ahead of their upcoming production of Guys and Dolls at the Grand Opera House, performers will take over two of Belfast’s most iconic locations this saturday.
St George’s Market – Saturday 18th April, 10:30am
Bert’s Jazz Bar – Saturday 18th April, 10:30pm
Audiences can expect live performances of some of the show’s most loved numbers, including Luck Be a Lady, Adelaide’s Lament and Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat, all delivered with a jazz-inspired twist that captures the glamour and energy of 1950s New York.
From the buzz of the market to the elegance of Bert’s Jazz Bar, these pop-up moments promise to surprise and delight, offering a fabulous taste of what audiences can expect when Guys and Dolls arrives at the Grand Opera House 12th -16th May.
The special guest takeover showcases the exceptional local talent behind one of the city’s most anticipated musical theatre productions, proving that Broadway magic can happen anywhere…even in the middle of your weekend plans.
Keep an eye (and ear) out, you never know when Broadway might appear around the corner.
