A couple from Co Fermanagh in Northern Ireland are celebrating a significant lottery win, securing a jackpot of £3.8 million just a week ahead of Christmas. The fortunate pair, whose identities are to be disclosed at an upcoming event in Belfast on Thursday, December 28, clinched the prize during the Lotto draw on December 16.
Starting off 2024 with a financial boost, this “hardworking couple” is the latest in a series of lottery winners from Northern Ireland. Among previous winners are Frances Connolly and her husband Patrick from Co Down, who in 2019 won nearly £115 million in the Euromillions jackpot, ranking them as the fourth largest lottery winners in the UK.
Update :
Jonny Johnston and Christina Williams found out they won the jackpot just over a week before Christmas.
Mr Johnston was completing festive deliveries for Tesco hours before he discovered he held the winning ticket.
