“One of the biggest issues doting partners come to us with at Midas Jewellers is not the style or colour of the ring they are considering for their significant other, but rather the fear of proposing with a ring that is either too big or small and how that could potentially mar the happiest moment of their lives,” says Jim Colon, co-owner of Midas Jewellers.
“Subtly working out the size of ring can be a tricky task. Should a partner already wear rings, then it’s a fairly straight forward affair. In some instances, a partner’s friends can be a valuable source of information and work in cahoots with the person hoping to propose.”
