Enoksen Watch Company has been appointed official timekeeper to the Belfast Giants ice hockey team. The Belfast-based watch firm and the Giants signed the two-year deal which will see all home matches timed by Enoksen.
Hans Enoksen, founder and CEO of the company, says the partnership is significant as his firm embarks on expansion plans.
“We are very excited by this new partnership with the Belfast Giants,” says Mr Enoksen. “We both share an international outlook and a love for Belfast and for sport. Precision timing is essential to both of us and we very much look forward to supporting the team in all its campaigns.”
Adam Keefe, head coach of the Belfast Giants says: “In elite ice hockey, every second counts. We’re proud to partner with Enoksen as the official timekeeper of the Belfast Giants. As well as keeping time on the ice, we’re looking forward to learning more about the craftmanship that goes into making Enoksen timepieces”
The Enoksen showroom is due to open next week and will have a physical presence in The SSE Arena, Belfast as part of its marketing effort and audience engagement.
“Expect to see plenty of competitions in the Arena during game intermissions, where fans will get the chance to win our coveted watches,” says Mr Enoksen.
Enoksen watches come with a two-year guarantee and are all waterproof to depths from 100m to 1,000 metres depending on the model. Attention to personal service is unparalleled. The company founder includes a hand-written note to each purchaser. He also offers a series of watches which customers can configure to create something entirely unique to them.
In the latest development at Enoksen, the firm now offers a tailored calibration service and each assembled watch is forensically tuned by a highly skilled technician to reach plus or minus 2 seconds per day accuracy. This matches the performance of the best mechanical watches in the world.
During 2021 Enoksen was appointed official timekeeper to the prestigious UK Challenge event as well as two major international tennis events: the Nordea Open (formerly known as the Swedish Open) and the Stockholm Open. Both tournaments attract top talent and previous winners include Boris Becker, Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer and other elite players.
The Enoksen Workshop is housed in the company’s headquarters in Aisling House, Lockview Road, Stranmillis, Belfast.
