Digital DNA, in partnership with Deloitte Digital, has joined forces with Cancer Fund for Children as its charity partner for 2016.
Digital DNA aims to inspire businesses across the province to embrace innovation and technology. Now, Northern Ireland’s leading annual technology conference, will also be reaching out to inspire people to support a local children’s cancer charity.
Staff and guests at Digital DNA on June 8th, will be encouraged to give what they can to support children and young people coming to terms with the daily challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
Speaking about the partnership, Digital DNA’s CEO Gareth Quinn said:
“This is our first ever charity partnership and we’re excited to utilise our extensive community to raise much needed funds and to also help communicate the great work being done by Cancer Fund for Children. It’s charity that is leading the way in what it does, providing specialist support to children and their families, who are living with cancer, at a time when they need it most. I’m looking forward to working together and can’t wait to welcome the team to our conference at St George’s Market on June 8th.”
Roger Busby from headline sponsor Deloitte Digital, said:
“Deloitte Digital is delighted to be involved with Digital DNA and the nomination of Cancer Fund for Children as charity partner. Digital DNA aims to help organisations of all shapes and sizes respond to the opportunities and threats of Digital. Playing a proactive role in helping charities deal with key organisational challenges is something we’re proud to be part of.”
Thanking Digital DNA for their support, Gillian Creevy, Cancer Fund for Children CEO said:
“At Cancer Fund for Children we understand the devastating impact a cancer diagnosis has on the whole family and that beyond essential medical care there is a family life that needs to be rebuilt. We receive less than 0.5% of our funding from local Government and completely rely on community support from businesses like Digital DNA. A huge thank you to Gareth, Roger and the team for helping us provide this vital support to ensure families don’t have to face cancer alone.”
Digital DNA 2016 takes place on June 8th at Belfast’s St George’s Market and will welcome speakers from some of the world’s biggest companies to Northern Ireland. For more information visit www.digitaldna.org.uk
