The Vikings are coming! Suitable for big and small kids alike, it will be all action this Saturday at Belfast Contained as the Magnus Vikings take centre stage with a truly unique and immersive medieval experience like no other.
Sound the alarms! The Vikings are coming up the harbour and they’re heading straight for Contained Village! This Saturday from 10 am, Magnus Vikings Association will be in the Village to deliver a living experience of Viking culture in Ireland. Explore the lives, skills and beliefs of the Vikings, who first visited our shores as early as the 8th Century.

Step back in time and learn how the legendary squatters lived and died with a packed workshop program including Viking battle drills, archery, tapestry or watch out for the Dark Age Blacksmith to gear up with traditional chain mail and helmets.
For the big kids (leave the car at home) pitch up in our covered waterfront beer garden and enjoy some of our exclusive German Craft Beers, or take on the stein challenge with delicious Erdinger from the bar.
For those patriotic beer drinkers, we got you covered too with the ridiculously tasty Yardsman beer on draft and in bottle. Our knowledgeable bar staff from Thompsons Belfast will be on hand with bar and table service at both the inside and outside beer gardens.
Featuring live music from Palm Tree Dynamite, Mutua Trap, and DJ sets from Chris Hanna, Richie Blacker and Gary F Quinn.
Admission is FREE and kicks of after Magnus Vikings from 5pm at Belfast Contained. Full bar and food traders on site. Hope to see a lot of you there for a little piece of Sunflowerfest winter sunshine. Bring your dancing shoes!
