If this is to your taste, then Canteen at the MAC has just the blend for you with Canteen Coffee Week, kicking off on Monday 2nd March 2015.
Throughout the week, the award-winning coffee house will offer unique daily coffee food and drink specialties, give an insight into perfect coffee partnerships, as well as host four unique barista beginner master classes, which will allow a hands-on experience in the Canteen’s own dedicated Brew Bar.
The master classes will allow guests to enjoy live interactive demonstrations and tastings using Chemex and Aeropress techniques, which create a unique, distinctive depth of flavour, allowing every last ounce of goodness to be squeezed from the grinds.
The events will be hosted by Head Barista at Canteen at the MAC, Terry Reilly, who said: “Everyone at Canteen is really looking forward to this year’s Coffee Week, which is really a celebration of our unique blend and an insight into how to make the perfect cup of coffee.”
“This year, attendees will be taken through the basics of how to make an espresso and how to achieve the finest textured milk for specialty coffees, whether it be cappuccino, latte, flat white or macchiato.
“We will also compare and contrast alternatives to cow’s milk, with soya milk, goat’s milk and almond milk. Guests will get the chance to test their artistic flair with some latte art.”
Terry concluded: “We expect the events to be as popular as ever, so we encourage interested parties to book early to avoid disappointment.”
Barista Beginners Masterclasses at Canteen at the MAC will take place on the following dates and times:Monday 2 March 5.30pm – 7pm, Thursday 5 March 5.30pm – 7pm, Saturday 7 March 11am, Sunday 8 March 11am.
Terry will also share his expertise of the coffee journey from bean to cup, the unique characteristics of each single origin bean, and the careful harvesting process involved in each variety.
Tickets are priced at £10 per person, and include a range of delicious coffee treats and bespoke coffee matched to your personal taste.
Belfast Welcome Centre is also getting involved on Friday 6th March 2015 where Canteen will be demonstrating Aeropress and allowing complimentary coffee sampling of Canteen’s famous blend.
