Northern Ireland Innovative new domestic electricity supplier Click Energy has responded to a letter sent in by a young girl who wanted them to supply her playhouse with electricity.
“Cara” had asked the company about getting connected so she could “make tea for her friends” and get electricity into “every room” of her playhouse which she calls “Cara’s Castle.”
Managing Director Damian Wilson said:
“At first we thought it was a prank, then another letter arrived… then another! So being the friendly company that we are, we thought, why not write back to her explaining that we can’t supply her “Castle” but we could supply her parents’ home with Northern Ireland’s Cheapest standard rate of electricity.
We put it up on social media, and the response has been amazing. It’s great Northern Ireland has a superb sense of humour, even in these austere times, when folk are trying to cut costs.” said Damian.
The letters began arriving at Click Energy in May after they announced their price decrease. And two further letters were sent to Click Energy’s head office on May 25th and June 6th. So they decided to act in good spirit.
Damian continued, “Maybe, someday we will supply kid’s playhouses but we have only been operational for eight months and have surpassed 10,000 customers already. People are realising they have a cheaper electricity choice.
At Click Energy, we provide the one standard unit rate – the cheapest in Northern Ireland at 13.38p per kWh including VAT, and it only takes a few minutes online at www.clickenergyni.com to switch. So there’s no reason to put up with higher electricity prices, whether you live in a house… or a castle!”
