Staff and volunteers from the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group received a special delivery when the team from Amazon’s delivery station in Belfast donated £2,000.
The donation was made as part of the ‘Amazon In The Community’ programme, where the company supports the communities around its operating locations across the UK. More than £64,000 has been donated to the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group by Amazon.The Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group is a leading national charity for all childhood cancers. CCLG fund and support innovative, world-class research to drive forward I. To mark the donation, a member of CCLG visited Amazon’s delivery station in Belfast to meet some of the team.
Amazon’s Belfast Delivery Station Manager, Jim Press, said:

The work done by CCLG is absolutely crucial, and we hope that this donation can offer support to the charity and the children and families it cares for. We also want to thank Stephen for coming all the way to Belfast to meet us after receiving our invitation to visit.”

We feel incredibly supported by Amazon teams all over the country, but it was especially lovely to meet the Belfast team after they invited us to the delivery station for a visit. The donation will go a long way to help with treatment and care for children who need it.”
Amazon Logistics is helping independent local delivery companies to grow their businesses and adds capacity and flexibility to Amazon’s delivery network to meet increasing customer demand.
Amazon has created more than 40 permanent jobs at the delivery station in Belfast and works with around 10 independent delivery companies with hundreds of drivers to provide the fast and reliable delivery Amazon customers love and trust. Packages are shipped to the delivery station from Amazon fulfilment and sortation centres and loaded onto vehicles to get delivered to customers.
