It has been confirmed that the Carrickfergus Town Hall will host a special Christmas film festival on Monday 21st December 2015.
The unique one-day festival will show film screenings of some of the most popular Christmas movies in the main Jubilee Hall and begins with a screening of The Polar Express (2004) at 12 noon, with tickets for children under 10 years old only costing £2.50 each and general admission only £5.00 per person.
The festive celebrations continue with a screening of The Santa Clause (1994) at 3pm featuring Tim Allen as Scott Calvin trying to rekindle his son’s belief in Santa Claus while swapping a business suit and formal shoes for black boots and a sack full of gifts.
At 6pm, join a little girl who discovers dreams do come true if you really believe with a Miracle on 34th Street (1994). Her mother told her the “secret” about Santa a long time ago, so Susan doesn’t expect to receive the most important gifts on her Christmas list. But after meeting a special department store Santa who’s convinced he’s the real thing, Susan is given the most precious gift of all – something to believe in.
To finish the special Christmas film festival at 9pm will be Will Ferrell as Buddy in Elf (2003) . Buddy was a baby in an orphanage who stowed away in Santa’s sack and ended up at the North Pole. Later, as an adult human who happened to be raised by elves, Santa allows him to go to find his birth father and discover New York City.
