Canteen Creates Café Culture (@CanteenattheMac)

Tapas on the terrace, a relaxing drink in St Anne’s Square combined with a European café culture vibe second-to-none in the city.

Everything you could possibly want for an afternoon in Belfast.

The only thing that can’t be guaranteed is the weather.

But everything else is on offer at Canteen at the MAC in Saint Anne’s Square this summer.

The award-winning restaurant promises Belfast’s premiere, must-visit café culture experience.

The new outdoor areas which spill onto Saint Anne’s Square will invite diners and drinkers to enjoy the sights and sounds of summer time in Belfast.

Sharon Wright, director of Canteen at the MAC said: “We are very excited about the summer and are gearing up for a real café-culture vibe in our outdoor dining areas.

“Not only has the MAC got a brilliant line-up scheduled, including Super Sundays which will see story-telling once a month, but St Anne’s Square is also playing host to some very exciting outdoor events, including the Sunday Treats programme, showcasing street performances by the Festival of Fools, and of course the upcoming Summer Food Festival, which will be launched shortly.

“In addition, we have developed a bespoke Canteen Tapas and Grazing board menu which has already proved a real hit with our customers.

“Grazing boards such as our charcuterie & cheese or seafood, Tapas dishes such as Chorizo, onions & red wine, marinated olives and our pulled pork slider are just a few of the dishes that offer the perfect al fresco dining experience for those wanting soak up the buzz of Belfast.

“Whether it’s a special occasion such as graduation celebrations or simply a leisurely afternoon or evening out, we look forward to welcoming visitors new and old to our new outdoor areas and are ever hopeful that the weather will remain kind to us.”

The MAC will see Super Sunday’s host story-telling in the family-room.
