Festival Party Favourites “Brass Roots” Bring the Funk to Aether and Echo

Regular fixtures at local festivals having won over crowds at Sunflowerfest , Out to Lunch and The Cathedral Quarter Arts festival , Brass Roots play an intimate gig at Belfasts newest live music and club venue Aether and Echo on Friday 13th December
As part of our opening month programme at ‘Aether,’ the new sister club of restaurant Aether and Echo, we are pleased to announce a show that epitomises the diversity of our coming lineups!

Brassroots are a 9 piece East London based brass band, fusing the most eclectic collection of musical genres, and wearing your feet out on the regular. A must hear/see experience!

Brassroots was formed late in the Autumn of 2008 among the streets of East London. The band is a 9- piece horn and percussion ensemble comprised of an impressive groove and energy charged group of musicians from a variety of different countries and backgrounds including England, Israel, France, Greece and America.

Eager to establish a flourishing brassband scene in London, Brassroots quickly set about bringing unbelievable REAL, LIVE instrumental sound back into mainstream music by presenting pop music in a unique and challenging format. The group has also been featuring and collaborating with vocalists, MC’s and DJ’s recently which has proved highly successful and effective in bringing yet another exciting aspect to their shows. Brassroots are on track to change the way you experience and appreciate live music.

The group has unleashed knock-out shows to sold out audiences at Scala King’s Cross, Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Festibelly and an exhausting 7 shows at Bestival. Brassroots has continued to blaze a trail through the London music scene in less than a year of existence. Leaving fans screaming at the top or their lungs for more is their calling card and the band is poised to bring a brand new energy and appeal to a tragically under-rated genre. The band currently enjoys a long-running residency at East London’s venue Rich Mix where they showcase some of London’s premiere up and coming musical talent at the same time presenting their unique sound and highlighting a different style from their bag of goodies.
