Good company, great conversation, meeting new people and reconnecting with old friends – Italian beer brand Birra Moretti is celebrating life with an evening of storytelling and togetherness.

From today (June 6th), Birra Moretti presents The Shared Table series, which will be available via the Virgin Media Player after 9pm and is inspired by the Italian practice of Aperitivo which means to “open up”. The brand is hosting three evenings with an audience and a special celebrity guest, for an evening of dinner, drinks and light-hearted conversation, all seated at one table.

“The difficulties of the last few years have resulted in a renewed appreciation for the things people may have taken for granted, the simple things in life that money can’t buy,” said David Greenlees, Birra Moretti Brand Manager, at Craigavon-based drinks distributor United Wines.

“The Shared Table is about inspiring company, bringing people together over beer and food that ultimately gives an appetite for enjoying life – the Italian way! There are some fantastic celebrities involved too, including NI’s very own Patrick Kielty and Gino D’Acampo.

Brewed since 1859 using the same authentic Italian recipe created by Luigi Moretti in Udine, Italian lager Birra Moretti’s special blend of high-quality hops creates a smooth, full bodied beer with wholemeal bread top notes which are cut by a delicate citrus note.

Birra Moretti’s Northern Ireland distributor, United Wines, was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Craigavon with a 75,000 square foot warehouse and 6,000 square foot office. The company employs 50 people on the island of Ireland and boasts an extensive portfolio of products, including Wine, Beer, Spirits and Soft Drinks.
