The show has been polished to a high state of hilarity on a 30 date Australian tour, and Bill is looking forward to returning to Belfast. This will be the first opportunity for his Northern Irish fans to see him live on stage in over three years.

“I always have a great time in Belfast and had to bring my new ‘Limboland’ show to the Ulster Hall. It’s one of the best comedy rooms in the world and seems to draw some of the best hecklers and nutters to it. See you in October” – Bill Bailey

The gap between how we imagine our lives to be and how they really are is the subject of Bill’s new show LIMBOLAND. With his trademark intelligence and sharp wit, he tells tales of finding himself in this halfway place. From his countless global travels, he recounts the hilarious saga of a disastrous family trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights. He rails against a world that doesn’t match up to our expectations and contemplates the true nature of happiness. And no Bill Bailey show would be complete without music, so we have Bill’s version of the protest song, a heart-rending country and western ballad played on a Bible, and a fabulously downbeat version of Happy Birthday.

Bill recently returned from Hong Kong and Singapore where he performed LIMBOLAND to sell out crowds. This was preceded by a hit tour of Australia and New Zealand which saw packed houses and the critics raving, with The Herald Sun in Melbourne describing the show as, “a solid new effort from a genuine marvel… Pretty much unmissable.” ★★★★ and The New Zealand Herald as simply, “bloody excellent… The material is solid gold.”

Speaking of “one of the most enduring comedians of this age,” The Western Australian said of the show, “Bailey’s disciples came for his rare brand of intellectual humour… He wove history, science and popular culture into laughter – there’s rarely a traditional punchline – Bailey’s humour arrives mid-sentence requiring of the audience deft ears and a quick mind, and his timing is impeccable, pausing just long enough to let the absurdity strike – blink and you’ll miss it. An extraordinarily adept musician his version of Abba’s Waterloo in the style of Rammstein was absurdity in extremis – may the troll return.”
