Belfast Whiskey Week, occurring from July 19-27, is an initiative by Belfast Whiskey Club enthusiasts to highlight the city’s rich whiskey heritage. Festival director Paul Kane expressed pride in announcing the sixth edition of Ireland’s largest whiskey festival. The event aims to engage both whiskey aficionados and newcomers, celebrating over 300 years of Belfast’s distilling history. Various city venues, including the Duke of York, The Deer’s Head, Dark Horse, Maddens, and The Morning Star, will host numerous events throughout the festival.

It’s the Second Most Important Awards for the Irish Whiskey Industry as a Whole. The Irish Whiskey Industry Awards 2024 will be presented at this year’s Belfast Whiskey Week Dinner in the historic and grand Great Hall at Queen’s University. It is a great privilege to host these Awards, solely dedicated to ensuring those Individuals and Businesses within the industry are recognised and rewarded for their dedication, specialisms, contribution and value. The IWIAs set the categories and accept Industry nominations for each award then we allow the public to vote, providing an opportunity for thousands of whiskey enthusiasts and supporters to get involved. With a bespoke meal, some comedy to keep our guests entertained and plenty of whiskey heads at the Dinner, it’s an event not to miss.
