Lisburn Road restaurant SHU has been shortlisted in the National Restaurant Awards for a remarkable fourth year in a row at the industry’s most esteemed annual awards ceremony.

The renowned Belfast eatery celebrated alongside the Portstewart newbie, Harry’s Shack at the prestigious event held on Monday 29th June in London’s Hurlingham Club.

The awards recognise and celebrate the 100 best places to eat out in the UK, as voted for by the 150 strong National Restaurant Awards Academy, made up of the country’s top industry experts.

SHU once again caught the eye of the judges through demonstrating not only high standards in cooking, but also an exemplary level of service and innovative menu, created by Head Chef Brian McCann.

Owner Alan Reid spoke of his elation in making the listing:

“We are delighted and thrilled to have been recognised alongside the very best in the business right across the UK. To have been honoured in this prestigious listing for the fourth year in a row is extremely humbling for us.

“Congratulations must go to Harry’s Shack who have exploded onto the Northern Ireland restaurant scene, underpinning the vibrant North Coast culinary landscape.”
