Local PR Consultant, David McCavery has been given an expanded role in one of the UK’s largest integrated marketing agencies.

In addition to his role in Belfast and Dublin as MD of Beattie Ireland, McCavery has been appointed as Managing Director of the Beattie Group’s Public Sector Division.

Beattie’s public sector team helps companies win business on national and local government rosters.

The team has been active for more than 20 years, helping companies large and small win work from public sector frameworks.

McCavery explained: “Being on a roster doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll win business. Decision makers tend to award contracts to companies they already know.

“We use smart strategies to raise the fame of our clients, so they are in contention for contracts they would really like to win.”

Group Chairman Gordon Beattie said: “We even up the playing field for companies selling products and services into the public sector and I’m delighted that David has accepted his expanded role within the agency.”

London-headquartered Beattie has assisted dozens of brands including Hewlett-Packard, Biffa and Panasonic win more business from the public sector.

Beattie Communications has 15 offices across the UK, Ireland and Canada including Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Toronto and Vancouver.
