Featuring a number of key individuals from the Giants’ 2022/23 treble-winning roster, including Adam Keefe, Mark Cooper, Tyler Beskorowany, and Mark Garside, the refurbished Giant baggage area accommodates all passengers travelling with large bags. From those travelling with small children and buggies to golf enthusiasts, the Giant Baggage Area ensures hassle-free travel.

Steve Thornton, group head of commercial and hockey at The Odyssey Trust, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have partnered with Belfast City Airport on this exciting, unique project. Welcoming millions of passengers every year, Belfast City Airport is a hub for travel and a gateway to Belfast and wider Northern Ireland, playing a key role in allowing supporters to follow the team on the road and overseas.”

Belfast City Airport offers flights to 31 destinations across the UK and Europe, providing passengers across Northern Ireland with great connectivity to a variety of popular destinations. Conveniently located just outside Belfast city centre, Belfast City Airport also boasts an average security processing time of just six minutes, ensuring a smooth passenger experience.

Michael Jackson, head of commercial at Belfast City Airport, commented: “Belfast City Airport is thrilled to unveil our revamped ‘Giant’ baggage area, building on our longstanding partnership with the Belfast Giants. The Belfast Giants are an integral part of our city’s thriving sporting culture, and we are very pleased to help take the spirit of the team beyond the rink with this larger-than-life addition to our airport.

“Each year, many Giants enthusiasts and players come through our doors, and our extensive route network ensures that fans from near and far can support their team both home and away. This latest collaboration underpins our commitment to enhancing the passenger experience, and we look forward to welcoming passionate fans to Belfast City Airport long into the future.”
