Rewarding Beannchor’s Best

Northern Ireland’s largest hospitality group, Beannchor - owners of Belfast’s 5-star Merchant Hotel, Little Wing Pizzeria and over 50 pubs and hotels - has launched an innovative new employee reward scheme. The new ‘Beannchor’s Best’ initiative recognises and rewards the Group’s 750 plus workforce, giving managers the chance to reward exceptional staff with a suite of great prizes and experiences. When furnished with a ‘lucky ticket’ by their manager, staff can redeem a prize, which includes a Merchant Spa hydrotherapy session for two people; a one-night stay in the Merchant Hotel; a meal for two at The Hillside, Hillsborough; a cocktail masterclass at sixty6 and classic cocktails at Bert’s Jazz Bar and The Merchant’s Cocktail Bar. The new scheme was launched at a special staff lottery event in The Merchant’s Rita Duffy suite in January, hosted by Pamela Ballantine and Beannchor’s Bill Wolsey. Staff were given two lottery tickets and over the course of the afternoon, winners were drawn for a range of further prizes, which included £500 cash, extra annual leave days and a year’s supply of Coca Cola.
