The Bannatyne health club in Belfast has announced an official partnership with the Belfast Giants.
The 12-month agreement includes shirt sponsorship and exclusive events in the club with players and coaches.
The Belfast Giants visited the club to open the new gym floor, which has been revamped as part of the club’s ongoing £1.2million investment, and includes a new spa set to open in late October.
Bannatyne Belfast’s new gym floor includes state of the art Technogym equipment including the Skillmill, Skillrow, Skillrun and bike, in addition to a functional training area with an Outrace Rig, designed to maximise members’ interaction.
A new Speedflex studio will open in September, to enable members to benefit from the innovative low-impact, high-intensity fitness classes. Bannatyne Belfast will be the only health club in Northern Ireland to offer the group-based session.
Nicola Turner, General Manager at Bannatyne Belfast said: “We are very keen to be an integral part of the community and the Belfast Giants have a huge following in the area, in addition to a sport and fitness connection, which makes this partnership a perfect fit.
“It was great to have the team at our club to help us reveal the gym floor refurbishment. The results look amazing and our members have the opportunity to maintain their fitness using state-of-the-art equipment, in totally revamped surroundings. We’re now looking forward to the new spa.”
Adam Keefe, Head Coach of the Belfast Giants, added: “The Bannatyne Belfast health club looks fantastic and it was great to open the new gym floor and meet some of the members who will be using the facilities.
“While the Bannatyne Group is relatively new to Northern Ireland, it is a well-known name for providing first-class fitness clubs across the UK, and we look forward to what our partnership will bring in the future.”
With 71 sites across the UK the Bannatyne Health Clubs brand is owned by Duncan Bannatyne OBE, who is also known for his appearances as a business angel on the BBC programme Dragons’ Den. The company has more than 210,000 members and employs more than 3,000 people.
