Asda Shore Road colleague, John Galway, has been commended for going above and beyond for a regular customer, after he helped complete her shopping during the busy Christmas period.
John, who has worked in the Shore Road store for over ten years, kindly offered to help the customer, who is visually impaired, when she came in to the store to do her shopping without her carer.
“I could tell that she was nervous about shopping alone, so I got chatting to her and offered to take her around the store while she picked up her groceries. I even helped her pick a candle! We had a lovely chat and she was very grateful for the help.”
Asda Shore Road General Store Manager, Kate Oakes, said:
“We are very lucky to have someone like John in Asda Shore Road. He has been a valued colleague for years and always goes out of his way to make our customers feel welcome when they come to the store.”
“We would see the customer regularly and on this particular day, the store was extremely busy. Thankfully, John noticed she was feeling overwhelmed and took the time to support her. It was very kind of him to make sure one of our loyal customers had a safe and enjoyable shopping experience. Well done, John!”
