A four tier cake created for the singer Adele by the Belfast Baking Company located at the Titanic Quarter is causing a huge stir across media channels in Northern Ireland and England.
The cake was created this week by the local bakery team to welcome the star to Belfast. When the local bakery created the cake to celebrate Adele’s concert tour kicking off at the SSE Arena in Belfast they had no idea just how popular their creation would become. Already the Daily Mail and BBC Radio Surrey have picked up the story of the cake and its creation. The cake which celebrates the multi-million selling artists career and Brit Awards was presented to Adele’s management at the SSE Arena yesterday. The management team later called the Belfast Baking Company to say the singer had received and was very impressed by their creation.
Commenting on the cake and its popularity, Paul McDonald owner of the Belfast Baking Company, said:
“We have only recently started our business at the Titanic Quarter and staff thought it would be a wonderful idea to create a cake for Adele to celebrate her new tour kicking off here in Belfast. We love making cakes but the popularity of this cake among her fans and media has been fantastic – we are thrilled to bits that it has been so well received. We really hope Adele and her team enjoy the cake as much as we enjoyed creating and baking it.”
The Belfast Baking Company has previously been commissioned to create cakes for major companies including Aston Martin and the SSE Arena, and creates bespoke cakes to order. The baking company is located in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast behind the SSE arena and is open daily.
