A number of years ago I made a number of bad choices and as a result made mistakes. I admitted them and was punished accordingly. I live with the consequences daily. Since then I have tried to rebuild my life and move on. I have helped create LoveBelfast and Takebackthecity social pages to promote the city we now live in.
LoveBelfast and Takebackthecity was created and self-funded to promote the city, particularly through a tough time of economic downturn and other events to save jobs and turn a negative into a positive for local businesses. We created a buzz and positivity about the city, to attract everyone who lives in Belfast and beyond to come and explore some of the great retail, leisure and hospitality offers in the city of Belfast.
Belfast as a city has a history of bad choices and mistakes, but is committed to change and creating a better future. Something that mirrors my own intention in life. People can change and this city is testimony to that.
LoveBelfast and Takebackthecity has always been non-funded, with no paid advertising on our website and provides free advertising and promotion to bars, restaurants, businesses and events on our social pages.
We promote Belfast with the most honourable of intentions; to uplift the good news with the hope that it erases the bad resulting in an optimistic bright future for all. By doing this we have stepped on the toes of some funded bodies that have been inept in getting this message to those that count. I would implore everyone that has been part of lovebelfast to judge us on our work and ask the question “Why are these stories being released now? What is the intention and who stands to win if love belfast fails”.
A note to all of those that love belfast like i do. We will continue to do an excellent job helping businesses that keep our city ticking and to those that seek to pull the city back into the mire theres no place for you at lovebelfast.
