What Car’s? prestigious awards represents the ‘best of the best’ and this year, the 5 Series battled against tough competition from Rolls Royce and Mercedes Benz to be named the 2017 Car of the Year after it was commended for its efficiency, handling, refinement, technology and sense of luxury.

Have a massage on the go
No time to hit the spa? No worries! The new 5 Series comes complete with a seat massage option with eight built-in massage programmes and three different intensity modes.

Takes all the hassle out of parking
Have you ever had a car that can particularly park itself? The Parking Assistant function lets you remotely back it into a garage using the touchscreen keyfob, or can take control of the steering to self-park on the street if you’re having ‘one of those days’.
There’s also an app to assist you in finding a parking spot… seriously handy during rush hour.

It’s FILLED with gadgets
One point that impressed What Car? was the fact that even the entry model car comes with more equipment than any of its rivals. Extras include a built-in screen on your key fob (which shows the time, along with remaining fuel and other handy information), Bowers and Wilkins surround sound system and a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices. It also has a plug-in hybrid option, offering over 20 miles of emissions-free driving. Seriously, is there anything this car can’t do?
