One lucky lady could have the chance to be the real-life Girl With the Pearl Earrings this weekend. The Hillside in Hillsborough, Co. Down has teamed up with Lunn’s The Jewellers to offer customers frequenting the bar during the Hillsborough Oyster Festival the chance to win a stunning pair of pearl earrings.
Throughout the festival, customers visiting The Hillside will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, priced £1 each, which in keeping with the event’s maritime theme, will be attached to Oyster shells. On the penultimate day of the festival, Saturday 5thSeptember, a grand prize draw will be made to reveal the winner of the earrings. All proceeds will be donated to Clubs for Young People (CYP NI) and the Hillsborough Village Centre, the festival’s nominated charities for 2015.
