Food Glorious food is on the menu at Dee Street Community Centre during an Open Day on Sunday, 8 May when passersby are encouraged to drop in and get a tasty treat as well as find out more about the services and activities offered by the centre.
Staff decided to tie-in with Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink and organise a cookery demonstration to entice more people into the building to see what is on offer.
Centre Manager, Sandra Workman, said: “We are always looking at new ways to attract visitors to the centre and the Open Day will be a great fun and free afternoon out.
“It’s the ideal opportunity to pop in, have a chat and a cuppa and see what you might be interested in,” she added.
“There will be a chance to try hip hop, line dancing, or bring your old records to reminisce. The kids can meet the princesses from Frozen, get their faces painted, play games, or have a go at junk art. You can even get a souvenir of a great day out in our photo booth,” said Sandra.
The Open Day runs from 1-4pm on Sunday, 8 May.
