Hit Fit

Welcome to the newest concept in sports fitness: High Intensity Tennis Fitness, also known as HiT-FiT.  Created by Irish international tennis player and qualified personal trainer, Stuart McQuitty, who has 20 years of tennis coaching experience, he has combined all of his knowledge to give the fitness and tennis industries a new, innovative way of exercising and learning.

These one hour classes require NO prior tennis knowledge or base fitness. You will be pushed, you will be shown perfect techniques, but most importantly you will “Learn as you Burn”.  (Calories that is…no sun cream needed!). Complete tennis beginners can be in a class with seasoned pros as the drills do not require co-operation and missing a ball completely does not matter either.  It’s all about the movement and swing patterns.

In a one hour class it is possible to burn up to 1,000 calories.  Not only that, but the variety of exercises, movements and techniques involved mean you will improve your overall fitness, flexibility, co-ordination, speed, agility and muscle tone…

AND you’ll learn or improve at a sport you can play for life.

Why not give it a try?

Two venues are currently running classes – Hawarden Tennis Club in East Belfast on Wednesday night and Wallace Park Indoor Tennis Centre in Lisburn on Thursday evenings. To find out more, try a class or sign up for a six week session, check out the website on www.hit-fit.co.uk.
