Ulster Rugby heroes Tommy Bowe and Dan Tuohy join Jennifer Morton from local retail group, Centra and school children Jasmine Girvin, Lewis Wilson, Oriana Moore, Joshua Speer from Cregagh Primary School to launch the Centra Ulster Rugby Summer camp ‘Design a Mascot’ competition for primary school children.
The province wide Ulster Rugby Summer Camps, sponsored by local retail group Centra, are for boys and girls aged 6-12 years and will run between June 30 and August 22. Each camp is five days long and registration for the week costs £50 to include a t-shirt, a boot bag, a rugby ball and a voucher to claim a free ticket to an Ulster game at Ravenhill. There are also four camps specifically for girls’ aged 12-17 in Belfast, Lurgan, Clogher Valley and City of Derry, and two camps for children with special needs in south Belfast and Coleraine. The ever popular senior camp for 13-17 year olds with previous rugby experience will take place at University of Ulster, Jordanstown. Camp application forms are being distributed to schools and rugby clubs across Ulster and are also available from local Centra stores. The “Design a Mascot” competition is open to school children across Northern Ireland and the lucky winner will receive a free place at the Summer Camp of their choice.
