Europe is one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations, and it’s not hard to see why. There are lots to see, from the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the remains of the Colosseum in Rome. As one might expect, there are some cities that have a lot more for you to see than others.

If you are visiting Europe for the first time, you need to aim to visit as many of Europe’s most engaging cities as possible, so that you get the most from your trip. This article will tell you about six of them:

London

London is one of Europe’s oldest and most historic cities, originally founded as a temporary settlement by the Romans. London has, in many respects, shaped the entire world. It is now regarded as one of the world’s main financial hubs, along with New York and Singapore. There are lots of things for you to see in London, from the historic Houses of Parliament to the Queen’s residence, Buckingham Palace. Just outside of London, there are also many other towns and cities worth visiting, including St. Albans, Salisbury, Winchester, and Windsor.

Trips to London can be expensive, especially now that travel has resumed after the COVID-19 pandemic is largely over in the United Kingdom. You can mitigate costs by staying on the city’s outskirts, eating in small cafés instead of restaurants, and buying supplies from Britain’s budget shops, Asda, Lidl, and Aldi.

Paris

Paris, like London, has had a huge influence over the world. It’s also a city with lots to do and see. If you are going to be visiting Paris, then it’s worth planning your trip beforehand, so that you get the most out of it. One of the things that you absolutely have to see is the Eiffel Tower. It would be ridiculous to visit Paris without seeing it. In addition to the Eiffel Tower, you should also go and see the Arc de Triomphe, which isn’t too far away. Paris’ avenues abound with delicious restaurants, bistros, and small cafés, as well as fashion boutiques and artisan stores. It’s a city where you will never run out of things to do.

Rome

Rome is, out of all of the cities on this list, the one with the most history. Rome, the former capital of the Roman Empire, still retains many of its ancient Roman buildings, like the Colosseum for example. As you can read on the Hello Tickets ticket access page, tours are available in the city. There’s so much to see in Rome that it is definitely worth signing up for a tour, just so that you get the most out of your holiday. In addition to visiting the vestiges of ancient Rome, it’s also worth checking out the Vatican.

Berlin

Berlin is Germany’s capital and dates back to the 13th century. The city’s streets are filled with beautiful architecture, museums and galleries, and history. If you are intending on visiting Berlin, as with the other cities on this list, you should plan out an itinerary so that you see everything that’s worth seeing. Berlin has lots of five-star restaurants and luxury hotels, so if you want to get away and have a little bit of luxury, then Berlin is definitely somewhere for you to consider.

Moscow

Moscow is Russia’s capital and the most populous city in all of Europe. It is located on Russia’s Moskva River. One of the most popular tourist sites in the city is the Kremlin, home to tsarist treasures. The Kremlin is located on Red Square, another extremely popular location, home to Lenin’s Mausoleum, St. Basil’s Cathedral, and the State Historical Museum’s collection. Throughout Moscow, you can find onion-domed Orthodox churches. They are very beautifully designed, inside and out. It’s definitely worth checking as many out as you can. In addition to all of this, Moscow has a lively night scene, lots of cultural attractions, and five-star restaurants.

Amsterdam

Amsterdam’s known throughout the world for one thing: the legalization of Cannabis. There’s much more to the city than just Cannabis, however. Amsterdam’s canals and leaning houses tell a very interesting story – one that can only be truly learned by visiting the city! By far the best way to get around Amsterdam is by bicycle. You can rent a bicycle when you get there. If you are visiting Amsterdam, try to see as much as you can before you inevitably descend into one of the city’s coffee shops, plop down in a chair, and go into a vegetative state.

You couldn’t see all of Europe in a lifetime – there’s so much to find and see! If you are intending on visiting, then make sure that you plan out your journey so that you make the most of it. Traveling to Europe can be expensive, so there’s no point wasting your time seeing things that you aren’t interested in.
