Make it happen with new direct flights from Crystal Ski

Snow-capped mountains, picturesque alpine villages, impossibly stunning views, cold fresh air on your face, the sun on your back and a feeling that you’re on top of the world!  If a skiing holiday has been languishing on your to-do list for far too long, help is at hand.

Crystal Ski Holidays now has two new direct flights from Belfast International Airport to Austria and Italy, taking off from this December.

From 21 December 2024 to 22 March 2025, you can fly directly to Salzburg – your gateway to a host of Austrian winter resorts including Bad Hofgastein, Söll, and Zell am See. And, from 22 December 2024 to 23 March 2025, you can fly directly to Turin in Italy, and onwards to such popular resorts as Cervinia, Sauze D’oulx, and Sestriere.

Tempted? Here’s what you can expect from your first ski-adventure…

Breathtaking scenery

Ski-resorts across Austria and Italy provide skiers with tree-lined scenic runs and picturesque resorts with many a pretty lunch stop on the mountain side.  In Italy, the lift systems are world-class, with speedy, modern chairs and gondolas to whisk you up the mountain and drink in the views. Italy also offers views of the stunning Dolomites as the backdrop to your getaway.

Après-ski

For the livelier amongst you that can mean live music, DJ’s and happy hours to enjoy. But if you fancy something a little more relaxed, many of the resorts are on or near mountainside bars with roaring open fires, serving hot drinks and the opportunity to sit back and enjoy the cosiest settings imaginable.

Relaxing Spas

You might not book a ski-break for the spa alone, but it is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon while you’re away. While facilities may vary from resort to resort many will provide access to pools, saunas, spas, and wellness areas where you’ll be spoilt for choice with the treatments on offer.

And there’s more…..snow adventures and sight-seeing

Beyond the slopes, many resorts will offer plenty of off-piste excitement so you can tick off some truly bucket list moments with activities such as ice skating, sleigh rides, snowshoe walking or even dog sledding.  If sight-seeing is your thing, in Austria, head to the large towns of Kitzbuhel and Zell am See from where you can hop on a train to explore the cities of Vienna and Salzburg. While the Italian resorts of Bardonecchia, Sestriere, and Sauze D’oulx are just a short train ride from Turin and Cervinia is a short cable car hop to Zermatt, in Switzerland.
