THE Hastings Hotels Group is celebrating after all six of its hotels excelled in the recent 2013 Taste of Ulster inspections.

Taste of Ulster is a widely accredited award scheme dedicated to finding the best local restaurants, who serve the best local food, using the best local produce.

Hastings Hotels operates eight restaurants at its six hotels across Northern Ireland, and they all performed exceedingly well in the annual inspections, with Mitre at the 5-star Culloden Estate & Spa and Grill at the Everglades Hotel both being awarded 97%.

Howard Hastings, Managing Director of Hastings Hotels said: “We are delighted that all six of our hotels have performed exceptionally well in the Taste of Ulster inspections.

“We pride ourselves on our dedication to the food we provide our guests and are heavily committed to using the very best of local produce. Food provenance is of major importance to us as a group and we work hard with local suppliers, to ensure we offer the very best, seasonal produce on our menus at all times.

“There is fantastic choice right on our doorstep and we believe it is vital to support local food producers to ensure this choice remains. Where possible, all of our meat, fish, fruit and vegetables, dairy produce and bread is locally sourced and we use small, artisan producers who are as passionate as we are about keeping food traditions alive.

Taste of Ulster’s vision is to develop and celebrate excellence in local cuisine and hospitality throughout Northern Ireland.
