Temperatures in Britain could be set to rocket to a whopping 35C next week, as warm air from Europe drifts into the country.
The south of Britain is set for temperatures of above 30C from the start of next week as a tropical continental airmass begins to dominate the weather.
And there is even a chance we could hit 35C – just shy of the 36.5C temperature the UK reached on July 19, 2006.
No day has so far beat that nine-year record but next week is potentially going to come close.
The highest temperatures are set to be on Wednesday and Thursday – but the Met Office think it is “unlikely” the UK will manage to beat the 36.5C temperature that was recorded on July 19, 2006.
A spokeswoman told Yahoo News UK: “There is the tiniest chance that temperatures could reach 35C at best.”
She said that it is more likely the country will bask in 30C sunshine, adding: “We expect temperatures to rise across the UK at the start of July.
“The south of the UK could possibly get into the low 30s but it is more likely that temperatures will peak at 30C.”
But what about Northern Ireland???? As always…. RAIN!
