Donations exceeded double the Appeal target – last chance to donate online www.stuffabusni.com
With 100,000 children in Northern Ireland estimated to go without toys this Christmas, the annual Stuff A Bus NI Toy Appeal went virtual with a £50,000 target to help families in need.
Adopting an entirely virtual approach due to Covid-19 restrictions, figures showed there was an increasing level of need this year as more families face financial difficulties, who had never needed support before.
With one day left to donate, over £100,000 has been raised in aid of the Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul Family Appeal, smashing the Appeal target.
Chris Conway, Group Chief Executive, Translink thanked everyone for their efforts:
