STUDENTS PACK IT ALL IN AND SAIL FOR FREE!

Leading ferry company Stena Line is celebrating the start of the new university term with a fantastic STUDENTS GO FREE offer that will help save some much needed pounds.

This great value offer which is available on all of Stena Line’s Irish Sea routes means one adult can travel from as little as £79* single and bring a car full of students for free (for travel between 30 August – 31st October, book by 30 Sept), as well as everything needed for university life including cases of clothes, textbooks and widescreen TVs.

Diane Poole OBE, Stena Line’s Head of PR and Communications said: “Leaving home to travel to university is a life-changing experience for thousands of young people. Not only are they moving to another city leaving their family and friends behind, but they then have to cope with the financial challenges a tight budget throws at them.”

Diane continued: “That’s why our students go free fare is such a good deal – as long as Mum or Dad is driving – every student who travels will pay absolutely nothing. If you have an eight-seater – that’s a lot of savings but even with one or two students in the car this is a great offer!”

“A common worry among parents is the logistics and cost of getting their child’s belongings to their new home. When you travel with Stena Line there are no baggage restrictions meaning you don’t have to compromise on what you bring with you. Every year we see so many things you can’t fit in a suitcase including lamps, food hampers, bedding, games consoles, tables and chairs and even ironing boards making their way to new homes across the Irish Sea.”

Stena Line has an even more generous offer for students on its Facebook page with the chance to win free travel, a fantastic Student Survival Kit including an iPad mini! Everything a student could possibly need for going to university is up for grabs including toastie-makers, Ikea vouchers, pots and pans, and a fantastic iPad mini to help with coursework! To enter go to facebook.com/StenaLineUKIE and simply upload a photo of what you absolutely cannot live without at university, plus a brief description. One lucky student will get their hands on the Super Student Survival Kit but there are also lots of other chances to win a range of prizes over the 6 weeks with one winner being picked a week.
