Armagh City, Banbridge, Lurgan and Portadown pull out the stops to celebrate the best in local fashion, food and entertainment from Friday 15 April with Spring Made Stylish
Style-seekers have only a few days left to wait before strutting their stuff at the hotly-anticipated “Spring Made Stylish” festival weekend, which takes place in towns and cities across Armagh and Down from Friday 15 April.
It’s definitely the turn of Armagh City, Banbridge, Portadown and Lurgan to hog the fashion spotlight this year as they come together to make this year’s new season spring and summer style the most memorable ever – taking in an eye-popping spectacular of fashion, catwalk style, design talent, food, cocktails, entertainment as well as hats, hair, shoes and makeup to suit every age and every budget.
With pop-up shows fashion tours hosted by top TV and radio personality, Tara Mills, and Northern Ireland style icon Pamela Ballantine, a fleet of glamourous, professional models and live beats from the Cool FM radio roadshow team, chic boutiques and High Street heroes from across the region are already gearing up for a buzzy weekend filled with fun and frolics in Lurgan and Portadown.

Showcasing the best of local boutique fashion talent and best-kept local hair and beauty secrets, the Cathedral City Catwalk fashion show at the Armagh City Hotel on Friday night from 7pm guarantees to kick off the weekend with freshness and flair as styled-up models take to the stage in bang-on-trend design, colour and cut.
At 7.30pm on the same evening, fashionistas in Banbridge get to join in the fun as the Old Town Hall on Scarva Street is transformed to host the Banbridge Made Stylish Fashion Showcase, promising the hottest new looks for Spring/Summer to suit every occasion – from a formal wedding to a casual lunch with the girls, it’s a night made in heaven.
The Portadown and Lurgan Made Stylish pop-up fashion events on Saturday 16 April are definitely ones for the diary as eye-catching models, dazzling designs and plenty of banter bring these top towns to a stylish stop between 11am and 3pm.
The Fabulous 40’s are well-catered for all day at the Studio Café @ Wright’s Interiors in Armagh all day on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s Passion for Fashion Sunday Brunch hosted by the award-winning Uluru Bar & Grill.
There is also an opportunity to get together with friends at the ‘Let’s Do Lunch!” specially-themed event with live music and cocktails help in the Vault artisan pizza restaurant in Banbridge Saturday from 12pm-3pm.
The Creative Hat Couture workshop from 9.30am on Saturday 16 April in the Old Town Hall, Banbridge will have you working with an array of millinery materials to create a headpiece to suit that special occasion. The class is suitable for all levels and all students are guaranteed to leave with a glamorous and bespoke headpiece.
Also at 2.30pm on the same day and venue, award-winning makeup artist Stacey Kilpatrick will be teaching the principles of natural flawless looking makeup during a special Understanding Your Makeup session, taking in a deeper look at the latest products, techniques, skin concerns and value-for-money trends.
TV personality Tara Mills takes centre-stage in Lurgan at the signature Lurgan Made Stylish event, escorting professional models and guests around the town’s wonderful eateries showcasing dazzling dresses, sensational shoes, comfy coats and trend-setting tops. From handbags to gladrags, cardi’s to cover ups, menswear to glitzy clothes – there really is something for everyone.
Cool FM music queen Emma Fitzpatrick will also be rocking up on the plaza for a Radio Roadshow featuring music, games and details of exclusive discounts from the retail partners taking part in the Lurgan event.
Get the latest ‘fashion inspo’ during the Portadown Made Stylish pop-up style event on Saturday 16 April as guest compere, the ever-glamorous Pamela Ballantine, passes on her style secrets as she escorts local style connoisseurs and hand-picked models around the town centre, visiting cafes, restaurants and the plaza.
