Carryduff Upholstery, the upholstered furniture and reupholstery specialists, have opened a new purpose-built showroom in response to increasing local demand for luxury, custom-made sofas and chairs.
Bespoke Sofa Studio, located at stand-alone premises on Belfast’s Saintfield Road, will offer customers a unique and versatile sofa buying experience where they can choose a piece from the existing collection, which is fully customizable, or avail of its exclusive Made to Order service.
“Our ethos is simple,” explains co-owner and manager Joe Devlin. “We are all about individual sofas for individuals. Everyone is different and Bespoke Sofa Studio creates beautiful customised handmade furniture at an affordable price.
“We already have a reputation as a leading manufacturer of handcrafted luxury sofas in Northern Ireland but, as we continue to expand, the showroom will provide a much-needed space for the public to browse our collection and speak to us about their individual requirements.”
Mr Devlin, whose grandfather started the family business more than 80 years ago, says the Made to Order side of the business has taken off in recent years, allowing for individual expression and originality.
“Increasingly we are seeing a trend towards customers bringing in their own sketches. We are always excited to work with bespoke designs, accommodate individual client needs, and effectively bring your dream sofa to life.”
He adds; “We also offer an interiors advisory service for those who might appreciate a little guidance with their designs.”
Aside from to the Made to Order service, sofas from the collection can be adapted to suit customers’ personal tastes, be it in fabric, dimensions or cushion fillings.
Clients can choose from an extensive palette of premium fabrics, from velvets and linens to performance microfibres, enabling each piece to match their interior palette and lifestyle. Fabritech has a wide variety of fabrics—different weights, textures, patterns, perhaps even special performance fabrics (like those for high traffic, fade resistance, etc. which you can consider.
