Introducing our third ‘Showtime at the Musicals’ Special Guest… performing with us on Thursday the 8th of September… Jolene O’Hara! Jolene is a professional actor and singer from Belfast. Her theatre credits include Logainne in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at The Mac, Belfast with Bruiser theatre company and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at The Grand Opera House, Belfast with C21 Theatre Company. Jolene can be seen in the up and coming BBC drama ‘My Mother and Other Strangers’. Jolene is one half of ‘Songbirds’ a duo singing group with her sister. Introducing our first ‘Showtime at the Musicals’ Special Guest… performing with us on Thursday the 25th of August… Brigid Shine! Brigid is an actress and Musical Theatre graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Theatre credits include: ‘Urinetown’ (Edinburgh Fringe Festival/RCS), ‘The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe’ (Royal Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh), ‘Spectacular, Spectacular’ (Cabaret Supperclub Belfast/NI Tour), ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ (Qatar National Theatre), ‘Les Miserables’ (Qatar National Theatre). Most recently Brigid has been working with the Scottish National Orchestra as their soprano in Kurt Weill revue ‘Happy End’. Brigid’s silver screen debut in indie film ‘Is This Now’ begins shooting this September. Alongside acting, Brigid has turned her hand to writing and with Pam Cassells and Mark Dougherty penned an original musical ‘Strive’, which enjoyed a sellout premiere at the Waterfront Hall earlier this year. Johanna has been performing from a young age, beginning with Irish Dancing at age 3, progressing to musicals at the age of the 16. The first musical Johanna performed in was Les Miserables, directed by Peter Corry and since then has went on to perform in over 30 shows, playing roles such as Ado Annie (Oklahoma!), Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz), Elle Woods (Legally Blonde), and currently Molly Jenson (Ghost The Musical) which runs in The Grand Opera House, Belfast from October 11th-16th. Johanna is delighted to be back working with Peter Corry and Fleur Mellor on this wonderful show. Introducing our second ‘Showtime at the Musicals’ Special Guest… performing with us on Thursday the 1st of September… Kelly Brown! Kelly trained locally with Centre stage, McMaster Stage School and many other prestigious teachers studying Drama, Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Irish Dance. She also trained in London at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and with various teachers within Pineapple Dance studios. Kelly was outright winner of the BBC/RTE TV talent show ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and was lucky enough to perform in the Premiere of a brand new Musical by Sean Purcell in Dublin following the competition. Kelly has been busy raising her family but is pleased to be back performing in various projects this coming year.
This dramatic and spectacular experience will take you on a musical journey through an array of musical theatre classics, featuring everything from Les Miserables, The Book of Mormon, Jersey Boys to Lion King – featuring a different leading lady each week.
