Sharon Malcolm Crowned NI Hairdresser of the Year

NEWTOWNARDS-based hairdresser, Sharon Malcolm, proprietor of Sharon Malcolm Hairdressing, has just been announced as the new Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year at the prestigious Hairdressers Journal’s British Hairdressing Awards.

The awards, which took place last night at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, celebrated the very best in hairdressing talent across the UK. For Sharon, this award is even sweeter in her ninth year as a finalist.

Sharon’s collection – Bella –features eight modern and glamorous hairstyles that are captivating and perfect for ladies who want to make a statement.

Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year, Sharon Malcolm adds: “After being a finalist nine times, it was worth the wait to be crowned NI Hairdresser of the Year at the British Hairdressing Awards. The event is renowned internationally as the ‘Oscars’ of the hairdressing world and to be in such esteemed company was in itself an honour.

“My fellow finalists are all incredibly talented and showcased wonderful collections, so to be chosen for what I feel is my best collection yet – Bella – is a huge vote of confidence in my skills and passion for what I love doing best, hair.”

Sharon Malcolm Hairdressing is open from 9am – 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. The salon is open late on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9am – 9pm, and on Saturdays from 9am – 5pm.
