Pamela Ballantine accepts Translink’s rush hour travel challenge

As part of Northern Ireland’s first ever Bus and Train Week, Pamela Ballantine, a self-confessed car lover, leaves her wheels at home and hops on-board the bus as part a rush-hour travel challenge.

Translink threw down the gauntlet to the broadcaster to give public transport a go and compare the journey from her home in East Belfast into the city centre by car, and by bus, in a bid to convince her of the merits of switching to the Metro bus for her early morning commute. Watch to find out if Pamela has been converted.

Bus and Train Week is a new initiative to encourage more people to give the bus and train a go, and to emphasise the importance of public transport to the economy and wider society. A series of events and celebrations will be hosted in stations, businesses and organisations across Northern Ireland during the week of the 6 June to 12 June.
