OUTSIDEIN, TRIBAL BURGER AND THE SIMON COMMUNITY  BRING THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS TO BELFAST’S VULNERABLE YOUTH

CHRISTMAS WITH A TWIST
‘Tis the season of getting, giving and going the extra mile for those who need it most, and with Belfast’s very own festive trio, the spirit of Christmas has certainly arrived.

In support of ending youth homelessness, Belfast-born brand, OutsideIn, has partnered with the Simon Community to help 60 young individuals currently experiencing homelessness. The partnership comes as part of the label’s latest collection, STRANGERS, MADE SOMEONE. which aims to inspire people to connect with those on the outside of their worlds. Founded upon a desire to help those experiencing homelessness, OutsideIn usually operates with a Wear One, Share One method which means that for every product purchased from its online store, an additional giving product is donated to someone experiencing homeless. This giving model is made possible through a series of charity partnerships both in Northern Ireland and abroad.

For this particular collection, this model has been adapted to a Share One, Wear One concept whereby donations are made before any products have even launched. The Christmas gifts which were distributed among the youth at the charity on Monday, 21st December, and that make up the Share One aspect, included OutsideIn’s classic Thermal Beanie, thick winter socks, an item from the new collection as well as a personalised Christmas card designed in-house by OutsideIn’s team.

To make this even more special, local burger joint and food-favourite among Northern Irelanders, Tribal Burger, very generously donated 80 meals to the Simon Community in partnership with OutsideIn.

David Johnston, Founder of OutsideIn, has said: “For many of the kids supported by the Simon Community, this is the only gift they will receive this Christmas.

“OutsideIn is so proud to be working alongside two other incredible Belfast names to give these young individuals a truly memorable Christmas. With so much disconnecting us from each other at the moment, it was very special to be a part of something that is all about togetherness.”

OutsideIn’s full STRANGERS, MADE SOMEONE. collection will be launching in January 2021 and a portion of the proceeds will go to covering the cost of this unique Christmas initiative.
