Northern Ireland’s acclaimed gay choir gets into festive spirit with first Christmas concert
Get your Yuletide season off to a spectacular start at Quire’s first ever Christmas show – QUIRE Get Their Baubles Out!
Northern Ireland’s only gay choir takes to the stage in Belfast with a sparkly mix of festive favourites and contemporary Christmas songs that will have you walking in the air…
QUIRE Get Their Baubles Out features the hit festive song Fairytale of New York by Shane MacGowan and Kirsty MacColl, Paul McCartney’s seasonal offering Wonderful Christmastime and a host of Christmas carols.
Leanne McCorry, Quire’s Musical Director said she is delighted the award-winning choir is getting into the festive spirit and offering a night out for all the family.
“Christmas just wouldn’t be complete without Christmas songs and carols,” she said. “We decided to really get into the festive spirit this year with our first ever Christmas concert, featuring a selection of foot-tapping favourites. We’d encourage everyone to venture out on Friday 13th – you’ll definitely be in the Christmas spirit at the end of the night!”
Quire’s Christmas concert promises to bring it’s 2013 season to a stunning close, following sell-out performances earlier in the year in Dublin, London and Belfast.
So get set for a winter-warmer of glittering Christmas tunes, shiny baubles and scrummy homemade mince pies, all served up in the intimate cabaret setting of the Crescent Arts Centre on Belfast’s University Road.
