Belfast’s newest hotspot, Bar + Block Steakhouse is now open in Cathedral Quarter, combining a destination restaurant with a bar that’s fit for any occasion. Whether you’re looking for a beefed-up breakfast, speedy working lunch, post-work drinks or a three-course meal with family and friends, you can expect a menu that is truly a cut above the rest.

bar and block BelfastI can not recommend this place highly enough. There are so many places to eat in and around Cathedral Quarter and now there is a new Steakhouse on the block!. Service the other night when I came with friends was great. The restaurant was really busy and had a great atmosphere, but nothing seemed too much trouble for any of the waiters.

There was such a variety of choice on the menu, which made it hard to choose. Upon arrival you are given popcorn, which was one of my favourite things about the customer service as it’s different from other restaurants.

Great starters of king prawns and the squid was very tasty, enjoyed along side a cheeky cocktail

We all ate steak and they are such good value. I eat in many steak restaurants and these were much cheaper than anywhere else! but still great quality. We had the the triple chocolate brownie with a hot chocolate. It was served with warm chunks of chocolate throughout and topped with chocolate toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream.

After a great experience at Bar + Block, I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a more casual steakhouse. The prices are reasonable for an occasional meal, especially for a family. It’s in a convenient and easily accessible location, has lovely staff and offers a relaxed but bustling environment.

The General Manager – Tammy was an excellent host.  Thanks
