Ross O’Connor has been appointed to the new role of Director of Account Management at Xtremepush, the Irish-owned global multi-channel customer engagement platform.

The appointment was announced by Tommy Kearns, co-founder and CEO of the award-winning SaaS firm, headquartered in Dublin.

O’Connor has considerable experience building businesses across the global MarTech and SaaS industry space.  He has a proven track record in leadership and management positions across functions including sales development, new business acquisition and customer success.

Over the past 10 years Ross O’Connor has managed teams within Google, RTÉ and NextRoll, formerly the AdRoll Group.

The digital marketing, client service and business development specialist will support rapid growth in client numbers and new markets at Xtremepush, including major U.S. expansion.

He will oversee account management teams in Ireland, the U.K. and U.S., managing existing clients including Bank of Ireland, AIB and daa, and recent new Irish clients, The Irish Times and Supermacs, as well as North American business for Groupe Dynamite, Piping Rock, Oregon State Lottery and Penn International Gaming.

Xtremepush was named a ‘Challenger’ in the global 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Marketing Platforms, reflecting its dynamic business growth and expansive product innovation.  The company has also recently announced a global acquisition and growth strategy, targeting complementary technology vendors, and backed by a €15m acquisition fund.  Business targets include achieving a €40m ARR within the next 36 months.

“It is exciting to join such a customer centric organisation at this important growth phase for the business.   Building the U.S. team and adding value to existing client service is the focus, as Xtremepush scales up in a very dynamic market”, O’Connor says.

Ross O’Connor holds an MSc and BSc in Marketing from TUD and is a graduate of The UCD Smurfit School, with post-graduate qualifications in Leadership, Innovation and Change and in High Performance Sales.

65 people are employed across Xtremepush global operations, which include offices in Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Russia and the Czech Republic, in addition to two UK bases, a U.S. office and the Irish HQ in Dublin.

Established in 2014 by Tommy Kearns and Dr Kevin Collins (Chief Technical Officer), Xtremepush claimed the Customer Experience category at the 2020 Deloitte Financial Services Innovation Awards, as well as Marketing Services Provider of Year at the SBC Awards (Sports Betting Community), and was a winner in the 2019 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards.
