MISS N.I. THE BROKEN SHAKER 19-2-202010

A bevvy of beauties descended upon Belfast as the first heat of the Miss Northern Ireland contest came to The Broken Shaker on Wednesday 19th of February.

Girls from across the country competed for their place at the Miss Northern Ireland final in front of an astute judging panel which included current Miss Northern Ireland Lauren Leckey, Makeup Pro Store Artistic Director Paddy McGurgan, Operations Manager of Younique Lesley McGarrity, Marketing Director of Coca Cola Taylor Kirk, Denise McCluskey MD of Michele International, Former Miss NI Rebekah Shirley, Martin Wilson GM of Broken Shaker and MD of Rosie’s Closet Rosie Farrell.

Erin Riley, a 21 year old business owner from Dundonald was crowned “Miss Broken Shaker” and Jane McArdle, a 21 year old IT consultant from Banbridge was chosen as “Miss Belfast”. Both girls will now go forward to the grand final in Belfast’s Europa Hotel on 4th May and stand a chance of winning the coveted title of the, ‘Miss Northern Ireland 2020.’

Competition organiser Alison Clarke, “We were thrilled to be at The Broken Shaker, it was the perfect venue to begin the search this year and a brilliant night was had by all. Belfast had a strong calibre of girls who entered! Once again it was a fabulous night and a huge congratulations to the winning girls and a big thank you to all who came along!”

Last year’s winner, Lauren Leckey added, “Congratulations to Erin and Jane!  My year as Miss Northern Ireland has been a dream come true. It is something that I will treasure forever and I cannot thank event organiser Alison Clarke and ACA Models enough for giving me this life changing opportunity. I would also like to thank all of my amazing sponsors for everything that they have generously provided for me this year as Miss Northern Ireland. It certainly has been a busy year!
