Mid & East Antrim Borough Council is getting into the spirit of Hallowe’en with the launch of its spooktacular Hallowe’en events programme, which includes a host of family-friendly activities taking place across the Borough throughout October.
Mayor of Mid & East Antrim, Councillor Audrey Wales MBE, said, “Hallowe’en is a key date in our event calendar and I am delighted to launch a festive programme of magical activities taking place across the Borough. With many free events and family-friendly activities, from Hallowe’en themed Minecraft challenges to traditional ghost story telling at the atmospheric Arthur Cottage, there really is something for everyone in Mid & East Antrim.”
“As always, the highlight of our Hallowe’en celebrations will be our annual events in Ecos Park, Ballymena on Friday 28 October and Carnfunnock Country Park, Larne on Saturday 29 October. These free events are sure to draw the crowds and promise a magical and memorable celebration for the whole family.”
“Ecos Park will host a bumper packed evening of entertainment including fire and light shows, stilt walkers and Hallowe’en performers, a travelling fun fair and a special live interactive theatre spectacular based on Alice in Wonderland, before closing with a mesmerising fireworks display at8.15pm.”
“Carnfunnock Country Park will transform into an enchanted forest for a day of spooky activities including a bustling magical fayre of street sellers, a bewitched carousel, storytelling and craft demonstrations by the village folk and lighting of a beacon to celebrate the ancient festival. For the kids, there are also lantern making and best costume competitions with great prizes to be won.”
