Man of Steel unleashed a new TV spot during the FA Cup Final of Sky Sports 1 tonight, teasing the destruction of Krypton and giving a glimpse of villain General Zod.
The new trailer opened with Russell Crowe as Jor-El jettisoning his son from the dying planet, before teasing Superman’s incarceration on Earth and showing fighter jets swooping over Metropolis.
A new poster for the film was also released today, seeing the Man of Steel soaring into the sky.
The fim, directed by Zack Snyder, stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner and will look at Clark Kent’s transformation into Superman.
A sequel has already been hinted at by Snyder, and there have been rumours this week that Man Of Steel will mention Batman, albeit a new incarnation of the superhero as opposed to Christian Bale’s Dark Knight.
This would fit in with the Justice League movie, which is planned for 2015.
Man of Steel opens in UK and US cinemas on June 14.
