Belfast-born actor James Ellis (82), a star of the legendary Z-Cars TV show and the Billy Plays, visited Titanic Belfast today and unexpectedly met with actress Libby Smyth, a member of Titanic Belfast’s Visitor Experience team who acted alongside him in the first Billy Martin play. Libby played the role of a nurse in the memorable hospital scene in which his on-screen wife passes away.
Libby said: “It was a great surprise and pleasure to meet Jimmy after all these years. He was a wonderful actor, and he’s a lovely man.”
