Chef Joel Robuchon, who at one stage had a record 32 Michelin stars, has died at the age of 73.
The restaurateur died following a battle with cancer.
In a glittering career, Robuchon was named one of France’s best craftsmen in 1976, held the title of chef of the century in 1990 and awarded a total of 32 Michelin stars.
The chef became renowned for his innovative style and playfulness in the kitchen and was known for revolutionising traditional French cuisine.
