Jo Malone London to open first standalone Northern Ireland store at Belfast’s Victoria Square

Jo Malone London is getting a shop of its own in Belfast. The luxury fragrance brand will open a standalone store in Victoria Square on 1 December, just in time for the busiest weeks of Christmas shopping.

It is a short move rather than a new arrival. Jo Malone has traded from a concession on the lower ground floor of House of Fraser (now Frasers) in Victoria Square since the centre opened in 2008. Now it is stepping out of the department store and into its own unit within the same scheme.

Where is the new Jo Malone store?

The new shop will be in Unit 14 on the lower ground floor of Victoria Square, the former Michael Kors unit, which has been empty since that store closed in 2025. It measures 3,402 sq ft, giving the brand a lot more room to show off its range than a department store counter allows.

Victoria Square describes it as Jo Malone London’s first standalone store in Northern Ireland.

What will shoppers find?

Expect the full Jo Malone line-up: colognes and fragrances, home scents and candles, bath and body products, and gift sets. The brand is well known for encouraging customers to layer scents to create their own combination, and for wrapping gifts in its familiar cream and black boxes, with personalisation such as engraving also on offer.

Lizzie Brady, vice president and general manager of Jo Malone London, said the brand was “especially delighted to open our doors in time for the festive season”, adding that the new store “reflects Belfast’s distinctive character and cultural spirit”.

A strong year for Victoria Square

The signing caps a busy 2026 for the city centre shopping destination. Victoria Square says sales were up 23% in the first half of the year compared with the same period in 2025, helped by new arrivals including Sephora, which opened its first store on the island of Ireland there in March, as well as Bershka and a bigger Pull & Bear. Abercrombie & Fitch has also opened its first Northern Ireland store on the upper ground floor.

Jo Malone will join a growing cluster of beauty and fragrance names in the centre, including Space NK, which moved to Victoria Square from Donegall Square earlier this year, The White Company and L’Occitane.

Julie King, senior asset manager at Commerz Real, said: “2026 has been a phenomenal year for us, and welcoming Jo Malone London’s first standalone store in Northern Ireland is a fantastic endorsement of the confidence leading brands have in the destination.”

Christmas shopping in Belfast

For anyone planning their festive gift run, the timing works well. The new store opens as the city gears up for its Christmas traditions, and Victoria Square is an easy place to combine shopping with a bite to eat, whether that’s a quick coffee or a sit-down meal at Cosmo. If Jo Malone is on your list this year, 1 December is the date to put in the diary.
